KangaCode Named a 2026 EdTech Awards Finalist for Games for Learning / Simulation Solution

We are happy to share that KangaCode has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 EdTech Awards, in the Games for Learning / Simulation Solution category.

About the EdTech Awards

The EdTech Awards are presented by EdTech Digest and are now in their 16th year, making this the largest recognition program for education technology in the world. The program receives thousands of submissions every year and shortlists the most notable products, leaders, and trendsetters across categories that include early childhood education, K12 classrooms, higher education, corporate training, AI tools, accessibility solutions, assessment, and more.

For an education technology brand, being recognized by EdTech Digest is one of the meaningful annual benchmarks in the industry.

What the Games for Learning / Simulation Solution Category Recognizes

This category honors products that teach through play.

Instead of front loading theory, these tools turn learning goals into game mechanics, level design, and character driven missions. Learners absorb new concepts while they are actually doing something fun, not while they are sitting through a lecture.

Fellow finalists in the 2026 cohort include Prodigy, Boddle Learning, Teach Your Monster, and Venture Valley, names that carry real weight in the K12 game based learning space. Being listed next to this group means a lot to our team.

A Quick Note on KangaCode

KangaCode is a children's coding education brand built around a level based game curriculum.

Our mascot is Kanga, a magic kangaroo who walks young learners through ideas like while loops, conditional logic, and variables inside playful scenarios. We do not believe young learners need to finish a textbook before they can write their first line of code. They need a fun problem to solve, a character to root for, and a learning environment that respects how curious kids actually pick things up.

Our teaching belief is short and simple: it is not hard, you just have to observe.

Conclusion

Thank you to every parent, student, teacher, and partner who has been part of this journey so far.

Recognition from EdTech Digest is encouraging, and it is also a reminder that the work in children's coding education is far from done. We will keep building lessons, levels, and content that make programming feel approachable to the next generation of learners.
